Poolbeg

This complex project involved extensive civil, mechanical, electrical, and firefighting works to redevelop and upgrade the existing ESB Poolbeg facility into a strategic bulk fuel storage terminal.

Key works included new utility connections, construction of pump and spill containment infrastructure, a new steel gantry structure, refurbishment of seven existing tanks, and installation of a modern firefighting system. A new truck loading facility and significant reinforced concrete works to bund areas and drainage systems were also completed.

The project was delivered to a high standard, with strong collaboration between the client and design team, despite the challenges posed during the COVID-19 period.
