Project Overview
Ganson Building & Civil Engineering Ltd. delivered a €9.5 million, three-storey extension to a live, operational, and protected nursing home, acting as both Main Contractor and PSCS.
The 2,850m² development included pre-cast construction, full M&E installation, and sustainable energy-efficient features such as heat recovery ventilation, rainwater harvesting, PV panels, solar-neutral glazing, and smart building controls, achieving an A2 energy rating.
Works were carefully phased to maintain full operation of the existing facility, which was also refurbished with upgraded M&E, structural improvements, fire safety measures, and new bathrooms and kitchens. All works complied with HSEQ and BC(A)R standards, with user-friendly O&M and safety files handed over on completion, delivered on time and within budget.
