Project Overview
Design and construction of a split-level post-primary school comprising 32 classrooms across 2–4 storeys, with a connected sports hall and extensive associated facilities. The development included a new entrance road on a steeply sloping site, car parking, retaining walls, culverts, and full site infrastructure.
The structure combined structural steel with precast concrete elements, finished externally with facing brick, coloured render, and high-performance glazing. Internal accommodation included classrooms, administration offices, library, special needs unit, canteen, and ancillary spaces.
Significant civil engineering works were undertaken, including river diversion via a new culvert, stormwater drainage systems with attenuation and water harvesting, and the construction of high retaining walls along a live roadway.
External works featured ball courts, circulation areas, security installations, and both hard and soft landscaping. Full mechanical and electrical systems were installed, tested, and commissioned.
The project was delivered to a high standard, managing complex ground conditions and challenging site constraints.
