Grangegorman NS

Construction of a five-storey, 24-classroom national school with an SNU, delivered to NZEB standards on the live Grangegorman Campus. The project included a modern sports gymnasium with CLT roof structure and a fully enclosed rooftop ball court.

The design maximised natural light and ventilation through extensive glazing, with classrooms incorporating integrated toilet facilities. Sustainable features included connection to the district heating network and roof-mounted photovoltaic panels.

External finishes of brick and render were carefully selected to complement the surrounding campus, while bright internal finishes enhanced the learning environment.

Delivered with strong HSEQ management, including weekly audits and daily toolbox talks, the project was completed to a high standard. Despite Covid-19 impacts and authorised variations, the scheme was successfully delivered within the revised programme and budget.
